Rhonda Cook, CEO
Rhonda Cook founded PS LIGHTWAVE in 2010, building an organization with a clear vision and strongly aligned management team and staff. With 39 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, she is experienced in overseeing all aspects of the company's operations, including strategic planning, financial planning, staff growth and development, legal and contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, call center operations, risk management, and IT project management. She has initiated, reviewed and overseen numerous generations of innovation, including technical hardware, network management, and software platforms to create a more efficient and scalable organization. Prior to founding PS LIGHTWAVE, Ms. Cook joined Phonoscope Enterprises Group, as one of four staff members in 1979, serving as president for 23 years beginning in 1991. She was instrumental in building the cable television division that was sold in 1997 and led the effort to redesign business process, policy and strategy for realigning the focus of the business.
John Lambert, President
John Lambert, a Texas native, stepped into the role of Chief Operating Officer in March of 2018 after joining PS LIGHTWAVE as VP of Operations in 2017 following two and a half years as Vice President of Technical Operations for enTouch Systems, a Houston-based telephone and cable provider. While at enTouch, Mr. Lambert completed a successful network upgrade, which doubled network bandwidth capacity. In addition, he instituted internal procedures to improve the customer experience through faster installations and repairs.
Marc Krasney, Vice President and General Counsel
Mr. Krasney is Vice-President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for PS Lightwave, Inc. He is part of the PS Lightwave leadership team and responsible for all regulatory filings and processes, contract review and implementation as well as daily corporate counsel functions.
Thu-Suong Nguyen, VP of Finance and Administration
Thu-Suong Nguyen joined PS Lightwave in 2014 as Operations Supervisor and Senior Cost Analyst and transitioned to the role of Controller. Ms. Nguyen earned her Bachelor’s degree in Finance with a minor in Accounting from University of Houston-Downtown in 2012. Prior to joining the PS Lightwave team, Ms. Nguyen worked in the telecommunications field since 2008 as Operations Clerk and Operations Supervisor at Phonoscope Enterprises Group, where she was responsible for managing the team responsible for coordinating external operations work orders.
Swen Wulf, Senior Director of Network Engineering
Swen Wulf joined PS LIGHTWAVE as Network Architect and Security Manager in 2014 after working in the Phonoscope Enterprise Group as Network Security Manager since 2002. In 2017 Swen was promoted to Director of Network Operations and currently leads the teams that plan, provision and monitor the telecommunication services that PS Lightwave offers to its customers.
David Caddle, VP of Gov/Ed Sales
David Caddle joined PS LIGHTWAVE as Chief Operating Officer in 2014 and transitioned into the role of Chief Revenue Officer in 2016. Prior to joining PS LIGHTWAVE’s leadership team, Mr. Caddle was Vice President of Operations for Phonoscope Enterprise Group beginning in 2004 and Project Manager for Phonoscope Enterprise Group from 1994 until 2004. With over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry in the Greater Houston area, Mr. Caddle has worked closely with municipalities, wholesale carriers, wireless carriers, channel partners, enterprise and government entities, school districts, and public sector organizations for decades, cultivating strong relationships and gaining a vast breadth of knowledge that he shares with PS LIGHTWAVE customers. His careful, detail-oriented nature makes him naturally adept in the areas of contract review, strategic partnership building, and public sector regulatory oversight.
Mike Tanner, Director of Sales
Mike Tanner comes to PS Lightwave with an abundance of experience in the telecommunications industry. Throughout his career, he has worked at nationally known industry players, such as SBC Communications and AT&T Wireless, as well as more regional giants Logix Communications, XO Communications and WinStar Communications. At each company, Mr. Tanner exceeded revenue expectations and pre-set limitations.
Kurt Rushe, Director of People and Culture
Kurt Rushe was promoted to the role of Director of People and Culture in December, 2015, after joining the leadership team of PS LIGHTWAVE as Network Operations Center Manager in 2014. Mr. Rushe served as Network Operations Center Manager in the Phonoscope Enterprise Group since 2002. Before joining Phonoscope, Mr. Rushe worked in Operations at United Parcel Service (UPS) for 15 years and was a Project Manager with National Supply Company for 7 years prior.
Carl Schaeper, Director of IT Solutions
Carl Schaeper joined PS LIGHTWAVE as CRM/Database Administrator in 2014. From 2006 to 2014, Mr. Schaeper worked for Phonoscope Enterprise Group, first in document management then administering software systems for Cable TV, Accounting, and IPTV. He also launched the company’s first Microsoft-based CRM solution to manage contract and sales data.
Wali Muhammad, Senior Director of Operations
Wali Muhammad currently oversees field and internal operations consisting of multiple departments with a focus on improving efficiencies and on-time delivery to customers while creating a safe work environment. He conducts assessments for Lightwave’s future needs, grows young talent, and holds everyone accountable, in accordance with GRIT and Lightwave’s dedication to growth from within.
Greg Smith, Director of Internal Operations
Greg Smith, native Houstonian, joined PS Lightwave in November of 2014 as the Fiber Optic Network Design Supervisor and was promoted to the role of Director of Internal Operations in November of 2017. Mr. Smith brought with him over two decades of experience and a breadth of understanding of the telecommunications industry.
Robert Jacobs, Data Center Manager
Robert Jacobs joined PS LIGHTWAVE as Network Architect Director in 2014 and moved to the role of Director of Project Engineering in 2017. Prior to joining LIGHTWAVE, Robert worked at Phonoscope Enterprise Group as Network Director since 1998. With a background in communications, deep knowledge of networking and hands-on experience, he brings a fresh approach to the evolving world of telecommunications and broadband services.
Mike Walker, Safety/Fleet Manager
Mr. Mike Walker graduated from South East Academy in 1997. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in locations as globally diverse as South Korea, El Paso, and Honduras in the capacity of military policing. Mr. Walker served at the Pentagon during the clean-up and construction phases of the Pentagon after September 11.
